The following swift-and-simple to make hummus recipe is from the kitchen of Lauren Kim, who is also accountable for the lovilee pictures. Hummus is one of my favourite delicacies. I maintain in mind my husband organising a picnic for us on our first dating anniversary and me refusing to eat this ‘funny stuff’. Later on that year I went to Cape Town for function and was served hummus with bread-sticks as entrée, I ended up ordering my principal with hummus and had a lot more bread-sticks and hummus for dessert. Needless to say, I am now hooked!
Elements:
- 1 Can of Chick Peas (Drained)
- one tsp of Tahini paste
- three cloves of garlic crushed
- Olive Oil
- Half a Lemon juiced
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Method:
- Area all the elements in a blender (except the olive oil) and blend.
- Steadily add the olive oil to the paste till you get a smooth consistency.
- Season to taste.
Eat on ciabatta or as a dip with vegetables!
