Marcio Kogan from Studio mk27 in-collaboration with Diana Radomysler just completed “Toblerone House”. The Kogan’s tropical residence has three expansive horizontal concrete planes sandwich the simple juxtaposition of two contrasting spaces.

Description from Studio mk27
“The lowered degree is comprised of two rows of 14 slender steel columns working longitudinally to maximize unobstructed exposure to the outside through the completely functional glass walls. Public spaces are organized within this transparent soft-storey surrounded by the all-natural outdoors garden. The living space extends past the vitreous envelope to an exterior veranda and patio with a hanging fireplace and a circular void in the ceiling embracing two trees. A wood box deep inside the roof footprint is wrapped in retractable screens of slender wooden slats which serve as a backdrop for the vegetation’s shadows in the course of the day, even though illuminating at evening to give hints as to the action inside.”
