French architectural firm Debarre Duplantiers Associés has made the Villa Seignosse.
Completed in 2013, this modern home is situated at the edge of a huge pine forest in Seignosse, France, and attributes a timeless Bauhaus-like facade.

“The residence is set on the edge of Europe’s biggest forest. Pine trees draw an irregular skyline at the horizon of Seignosse, the surfers’ hot-spot in the south west of France.
Facing not the sea but a pond on the south, the residence contrasts with its surroundings by its orthogonal and white volumes. Open to nature, its facade protects the intimacy of its owners on the street side.
A massive residing area gathers an open kitchen and a versatile office room, even however setting a fireplace in the middle of a glazed facade. A massive wooden deck extends the interior room to the backyard and to the pool. Upstairs, the master bedroom enjoys a 360° view, with a south terrasse and a massive bathroom.
Bauhaus like facades freeze its architecture in a timeless zone. This solid and elegant architectural vocabulary may aid dealing with the ever altering nature, from surfing waves to green pine trees.”
