We’re not relatively specific which to be far far more impressed by: the brilliant optical illusion produced by the faux Bookshelves wallpaper by Deborah Bowness, or the stairwell in this apartment (decorated by French designer Isabelle Juy) which facilitates the illusion so stunningly. A Yorkshire-based mostly artist and designer, Bowness has made the artwork of Trompe-l’oeil her stock and trade, producing a series of wallpaper optics with each and every factor from worn books to bric-a-brac to hanging clothes as topic matter. But we doubt even Bowness could have envisioned her fine function in a context this magnificent.
