But Scottish designer Diane Allan has parlayed her formal instruction in textile design and fashion to a line of paper merchandise meant not for walls, but for wrapping presents. By way of her organization Deesigns, Allan showcases her nicely-honed design sensibilities with a range of lovely repeat patterns that invoke the really greatest of Mid-Century Modern day motifs with fully modern day flair—and in colour schemes applicable to any event. If only there was a way to keep these artful Deesigns out of the dustbin.
