Amid the new items by British designer Jasper Morrison observed at the London Design Festival recently was a set of cast iron cookware made for the Japanese organization Oigen. Palma is a 5-item suite—it includes a kettle and condiment holder, in addition to typical cooking utensils—all adhering to the lofty manufacturing specifications set by the 160 12 months-outdated Oigen. Palma also bears the hallmarks of Morrison’s serene, Zen-like visual sensibility—a especially fitting aesthetic for this venerable Japanese brand.
