Making Sense: The 1st Handheld 3D Scanner

Further evidence that 3D printing technologies is moving alarmingly far more quickly than we can wrap our minds about it, is the preliminary hand-held 3D scanner by manufacturer 3D Programs. Costing just $ 399, and named Sense, the scanner enables the user to capture whatever strikes their fancy, and then print it out via a compatible 3D printer. In accordance to 3D Programs, “The Sense is the 1st ever 3D content material camera for every person, creating it possible to capture individuals, objects and locations on the go.” To which we can only respond, ‘people?’ Yikes.
