Designed by Philippe Bestenheider, Elitre is the most current outside assortment from Italian producer Areadeclic. The name comes from the Italian word for the wings of specified insects, which have inspired the designer in making the shapes that define the collection. Developed for outdoor use, Elitre is composed of a chair, a stool, and armchair and two low tables of somewhat varied heights, which can be overlapped. The components are coated metal tube for the legs and all round framework and coated metal mesh for the seats, tops and backrests. The shapes are natural, reminding of flying insects fluttering their wings. A great visual impact is developed by way of transparency and overlapping. This result is considerably much more spectacular in the backrest of the seats, exactly exactly where three parts bend and overlap generating a gorgeous butterfly with its wings broad spread, specially in the upholstered edition which creates more substantial contrast. The individual sitting it these chairs will actually come to feel like rapidly building wings to fly away in the blue skies above. The semi-transparency of the mesh also lives the legs visible, so the pieces have a dynamic seem of active insects in movement. The summer time time colours make you think about of deep turquoise waters, sunny skies and poppy fields. A whole lot far more neutral versions in white and black are also presented. Use these pieces indoors and hold the summer time spirit all yr extended!
